Privacy Policy
To ensure the privacy of people who visit our site, we have enacted the
following privacy policy:
From time to time, this site may collect personal information from it's
users, including but not limited to name, email address and age. Some
areas of this site also allow users to post information in a public chat/discussion
forum or on our mailing list. The information we collect from users is
used ONLY for facilitating users' access to this site and for security
auditing purposes. Information we collect will not be shared with any
outside party, with the following exceptions:
- Information demanded by a court order or subpoena resulting
from a criminal investigation will be released to the appropriate authorities
- Information regarding a crime or the planning of a
crime will be given to the appropriate authorities.
- Information regarding a suicide or planned suicide
will be released to the appropriate authorities.
- Information regarding users who violate the Terms
of Use may be released to the authorities should legal action be
necessary.
- Any information otherwise required by law to be released
will be released pursuant to the law.
- The user's name and email address are released with
all posts to the mailing list; if you would like to post anonymously,
please send your message to outrightla-owner@groups.queernet.org,
and we will repost it for you. (State at the beginning of your message
that you would like your message reposted. We reserve the right to determine
whether to repost your message)
- Information provided with posts to public areas of
the site will be posted in that area, and will be available to anyone
viewing the site.
Any posts to the mailing list or chat/discussion areas
may be used by Outright and PreventionWorks HRS for internal research
purposes. In no event will any post or other content provided by a user
be released to the public or any non-staff persons without the
poster's
consent, except as indicated above. Aggregate data (e.g. statistics)
may be released to government agencies and others as needed for
funding
and research
purposes.
